Nicki Minaj Debuts PINK High Top Hair in London

Nicki Minaj has def established herself as a brand and a trendsetter but, Im almost certain that this hairstyle is something the most crazed Nicki Minaj Barbie Wanna-Be wouldn’t even consider. Most thing she gets a pass with but, not here. It looks a mess from all angles!

Kim Kardashian Cleopatra Hairstyle

Kim Kardashian can wear whatever she wants and still be the hottest woman in the room, store or on the street; however, if she stepped outside with this wig on that all changes. She had a recent photo shoot where targeted Cleopatra. This wig is a great for the shoot but, I hope she left it there. She does NOT look good in it.

Khloe Kardashian Has a New Hairstyle

Khloe Kardashian (the youngest of the Kardashian trio) has rung in 2011 with a brand new look from head to toe. She made drastic changes to everything; however, since my job is to blog about celebrity hair- that’s what I’ll stick to for this post. I don’t particularly like this style on her simply because, her face is so strong and maybe because, I’m used to the long lockes on her. I don’t think the Kardashian sisters look that cute with short hair actually. Hopefully, this was a wig and she can rip it off and let her other hairstyle “flow.”  On the flip side the high lights look great. For those of you who are constantly saying people are “hating” , trust this is not one of those times. I like the look… I just think the other look looks better.

Solange and Those Raggedy Box Braids

I don’t know what Solange is trying to accomplish her but, I’m already over it. I can’t for the life in me figure out WHY she wants the world to see those raggedy tired box braids. It seems like when wraps them up when they’re freshly done then exposes them when they’re officially a mess. Can anybody help me understand what’s going on with this? Maybe, I missed something.

Jennifer Hudson Bone Straight Middle Part Hair

Jennifer Hudson was one of the few who kept it cute and simple this year for the Grammy Awards. She wore long bone straight hair with a long middle part. She worked the look too. Only thing I don’t like is the fact that she didn’t curl it or at least bend the ends a little bit.

Rihanna Curly Hair

Just last week , I was saying how much I loved Rihanna with the big hair but, after seeing this I have def changed my mind. Maybe it’s because it simply isn’t big enough. Looks thin and cheap and what the hell are the pieces doing in the front? Why does she have two single pieces splitting each of her eyeballs with a mini piece in the middle?

Top Hip And Side Tattoos

Hip And Side Tattoos
The hip and side is the new lower back tattoo. It is honestly all the rage right now and also very sexy. You can choose to go with a small graphic or word design right on the hip area. Make sure to get it close to the hip bone or it is more likely to stretch later in life. Another option is to go big and many women are choosing this. You can get a side and rib cage tattoo design. This of course starts on the hip area and then extends up into the ribcage area.
These are just a few of the super hot and sexy tattoo designs for girls, or women that are out there right now being requested. Remember don’t look for the ultimate final tattoo product. Instead realize you will have to grow with your project and create something that is unique and individual. Therefore use the ideas above and the pictures as well as any tattoo design site as a jumping board and a great place for research.

Bon Jovi blame Steve Jobs for 'killing the music business'

Jon Bon Jovi has said in an interview that 'Steve Jobs is personally responsible for killing the music business'.

The classic hard rocker and millionaire spoke to the Sunday Times Magazine about the state of the music industry.

Bon Jovi pulled a classic 'back in my day' line, saying: 'Kids today have missed the whole experience of putting the headphones on, turning it up to 10, holding the jacket, closing their eyes and getting lost in an album; and the beauty of taking your allowance money and making a decision based on the jacket, not knowing what the record sounded like, and looking at a couple of still pictures and imagining it. God, it was a magical, magical time.'

And who does the man who made over $200 million touring in 2010 blame for killing the music business? Apple boss Steve Jobs.

Bon Jovi continued, ' hate to sound like an old man now, but I am, and you mark my words, in a generation from now people are going to say: 'What happened?' Steve Jobs is personally responsible for killing the music business."

As of writing, all of Bon Jovi's albums (including Jon Bon Jovi's solo albums) are still available on iTunes.

Avenged Sevenfold: We continued to record with Mike Portnoy (dream theater)

After crisscrossing the news about a replacement drummer for the rev, avenged sevenfold drummer who has died, ranging from Cobus Potgieter and others, avenged sevenfold issued a statement through the official website and their social networking group. They said it would continue recording their latest album which had been halted due to the death of the rev, with master drummer as well as drummer Mike Portnoy thetaer dream. Mike Portnoy himself is the idol of the weight of the deceased The Rev (James Owen Sullivan). As THEBROOMS 28 quotes from the official avenged sevenfold Group on facebook, they said:

"I want our fans to know That with Jimmy in our hearts, our journey to the record has Officially began. Jimmy helped leave this world an amazing gift and now it's our job to make sure to deliver That gift to our fans. We asked Jimmy's all-time favorite drummer Mike Portnoy to records on behalf of the uterus. Mike said it would be an honor and without question that's what Jim Would have wanted. Its comforting to us That someone like Mike, Who is undoubtedly revered as one of the best drummers in the world, held Such respect and Adoration for the Rev's Abilities. Even though it will of never be the Same without our brothers by our side, his essence lives in our hearts and through the music he helped create. He was a legend before any of the success or any of That We Are fucking bullshit and excited to lay this down for our fans, and especially for Jimmy. -Avenged Sevenfold-"
More or less the translation is as follows:
"I want our fans to know that with Jimmy on in our hearts, our journey to record officially begun. Jimmy left this world with an amazing gift and now it's our job to make sure to deliver that gift to our fans. We asked Jimmy's all-time favorite drummer, Mike Portnoy, to record their own name. Mike said it would be an honor and without asking that that's for sure wanted Jim. A very entertaining us that a person like Mike, who no doubt regarded as one of the best drummers in the world, to respect and praise the Rev. capabilities. Though certainly a feeling we will never the same without our brother (the rev), the essence of his live in our hearts and through the music he helped create it. He was a legend before the success or all of that nonsense and we are very pleased to complete all of this for our fans, and especially to Jimmy. -Avenged Sevenfold "
But what awaited interesting is whether Mike Portnoy will be additional special for this album alone or become the official drummer for avenged sevenfold? Cobus Potgieter or issues regarding the staying-be a substitute for the rev will come true? ... Who knows? .. just wait and see ..

"I want our fans to know that with Jimmy in our hearts, our journey to record has officially began. WAYS TO BE A KICK-ASS DRUMMER: By Janet Weiss of Quasi, Sleater-Kinney, and the Jicks

1. Obviously, the first way is…KICK SOME ASS. Drums are powerful, glaring, unmissable, crude, bulky, clumsy, inappropriate, primal and AWESOME. The person who masters the unwieldy cylinders must own these traits. No wimps allowed. Drums are not for the faint of heart. Play the melodies in your head, make up your own style, no matter how simple or complicated, and you will kick plenty of ass.
2. PRACTICE. This is clearly not rocket science. However, a relative amount of hand-eye coordination is involved…as is the ability to do several different physical tasks at once. Your brain will need many repetitions of specific exercises in order to feel comfortable and free-playing beats. Feeling comfortable and free is the goal here, getting in that embarrassing place known as THE ZONE. Practice is the only way to be able to improvise and cut loose when it matters.
3. LISTEN TO THE GOOD BANDS. For most of us, music school isn’t in the cards. Most of us learn by ear, and that involves dissecting the drums we hear on our favorite records. Pore over the music that moves you…investigate how the drummer propels the music, and how her personality makes it cool, exciting, rickety and solid.
4. IMITATE THE GOOD BANDS’ DRUMMERS. A lot of learning comes from imitation. I had so many teachers who I would try and copy: John Bonham, Keith Moon, Tobi Vail, Mitch Mitchell, George Hurley, Mick Avery, Sara Lund, Gina Schock, Mo Tucker, Topper Headon, Melanie Clarin, Ringo, Bill Ward, and many, many, many more. I looked to these unique players to help me define my own sound.
5. GO TO A LOT OF SHOWS. Watching drummers in person will give you confidence. Standing as close as you can to the drums, you’ll pick up tricks, and you’ll learn what you like and don’t like. Most things seem easier when you’ve got a human in front of you showing you how to do them. Listening to records is important, but watching live is imperative.
6. TRY NOT TO MAKE FUNNY FACES/LOOK GOOD. We’ve got a lot of making up to do in this department. Drummers are often sweaty, primal beasts. That can be rad. But being cool and foxy isn’t bad either. I drag a fan around with me so I my hair doesn’t stick to my face when I whip it around. Stuff like that.
7. LEARN WAYS TO PLAY QUIET. There’s going to come the day when your band leader writes a sensitive song. You must be ready. Break out the tambourine or the maraca, turn your snare off, play more toms. Think of the Velvet Underground…that’s what I do.
8. DO YOUR FAIR SHARE OF LOADING AND SHOW UP ON TIME. Let’s prove those drummer jokes wrong once and for all.
9. PLAY LONG FILLS. Yeah, this takes a while to work into the arsenal, but nobody’s going to give you shit when you drop an eight-measure fill at the end of a phrase. Nobody.
10. EXPRESS YOURSELF!!!!! Get noticed back there. Drums are the coolest instrument, and the one to which people respond in a physical way. Don’t be afraid to let folks know what you’re about, where you came from, what drives you. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, to improvise, to explore, It can be scary playing such a loud apparatus, but when it all comes together, it’s totally worth it.

Drum Lessons, Drum Tips, Drum Tabs, Drums Articles, History, and more!

Drummers get a lot of flack. We get blamed for tempo fluctuations, etc. Many other musicians have never even practiced with a metronome, but they'll often be the first to speak up about it. Take the time to talk to your bandmates about the importance of their contribution to timekeeping.

Don't snub the groove! And don't put down drummers who make their living off of a strong backbeat. They are valuable commodities. Just ask the musicians who play with them. They have a feel that usually can't be surpassed.
Chops ... it's not a dirty word! Respect the time those musicians have devoted to their vocabulary. They're often more creative players and have much to offer the world of music.
Diplomacy is everything! If you disagree with your fellow musicians about something, bite your tongue! Keep your cool and approach the matter patiently and with great thought before you speak. Don't burn any bridges by saying the wrong things. You just might have to walk back over those bridges one day.
Protect your ears! We can't stress this enough. Most musicians take this for granted. Buy a good set of ear plugs and start using them, especially while you practice. Drums are quite loud and ongoing exposure is detrimental.
Think deterrents. Keep your drums hidden and/or covered in your car or van. Take extra precaution at clubs and venues. Make sure someone is always around when you're not there. Don't underestimate the thief. He's just waiting for you to let your guard down.
It's about time. Our primary responsibility before anything else is to lay down a steady beat for the band. You should understand "groove" thoroughly and be able to lay a backbeat down like nobody's business.
Don't be afraid to crank down your bongos when tuning them. Too often people confuse the sound a bongo should make with congas. Bongos should be able to pierce above all of the drums with your fingertips.
Don't underestimate posture. This is one of the most overlooked facets of drumming. Sit up straight when you're playing the drums so your back is aligned properly.
Engrave your cymbals and drums. If they ever get stolen, this will increase the likelihood of you ever seeing them again.
For those that use a drumset rack: Take white gaffers tape and mark each section where a stand goes with a number. Put the stands in sequential order and anyone will be able to set up your kit effortlessly.
It's RHYTHM not rythem. Come on guys, we need to know this stuff!
Let us help a little: The Reason He Yearns Tonight is His Music.
Vintage drums are "old" drums. They make great collectibles and some drummers are real serious about this hobby. For a great resource, check out "Not So Modern Drummer" magazine.
Do you get a ringing sound from your cymbal stands when you play? Fill the hollow tubing of the stands with strips of cloth.
Clave is an instrument AND a rhythm. Claves are two wooden sticks that are played by striking the two together. There are many different types of claves (i.e. rosewood, and now even synthetics.)

Jennifer Lopez has collaborated with Lil Wayne on her next single

The 'Jenny From the Block' hitmaker ' who is currently appearing on the judging panel of TV show 'American Idol' ' has revealed the 28-year-old rapper features on her 'I'm Into You', from her forthcoming seventh album 'Love?'.

Speaking to fans during an online chat, she explained: "My next single I believe will be a song called 'I'm Into You' and it's going to feature Lil Wayne, so look out for that. Lil Wayne is very unique and fresh. Plus he's on my single!"

The singer-and-actress scored major success in the US with her last single, 'On The Floor' ' which number five in the US Billboard hot 100 chart - and recently told how she had felt 'emotionally connected" to it from the first time producer RedOne played it to her.

She said: "The minute RedOne played it for me, I made him play it 20 times in a row, and I just sat there at the board and I kept listening to it and listening to it.

"Because I really feel like, emotionally, I connected to it, but also because of how much I love to dance and how much that's always been such a big part of who I am since I started.'

'Love?' is expected to be released in May.

Exclusive: All That Remains Send Video From Japan After Earthquake

Massachusetts metalcore band All That Remains had barely arrived in Tokyo last Friday for a soundcheck for their show that night when a massive 9.0-magnitude earthquake shook Japan and they found themselves caught in the midst of one of the worst disasters to ever befall the island nation.

While Tokyo was mostly spared the devastation that nearly wiped out a number of northern cities closer to the epicenter following the deadly combination of the largest quake to hit Japan combined with a massive tsunami, ATR singer Phil Labonte and his crew definitely felt the ground shake. They ran down five flights to the street to see what was going on as the light fixtures and doors shook back and forth violently in the building. As they hit the street, they could see skyscrapers swaying from the initial trembler and several strong aftershocks.

In an exclusive video diary recorded for MTV News on his iPhone, Labonte described the aftermath of the quake and the challenges the band faced in trying to catch a flight out of the shattered nation Saturday.
The clip opens with images of confused and scared-looking Japanese citizens standing in the street as aftershocks continued to rattle the city. "Our area around [the venue] wasn't really affected in the way [the northern city of] Sendai was. There was no tsunami, there was no major damage to any buildings," he said, noting that you could sense "something has gone on" when you walked around on the streets outside his hotel.
After a large aftershock in the middle of the night on Friday that set off alarms in the hotel, Labonte said he packed up his bags as a precaution in case he had to run outside in an emergency. "That's really all that I've been doing is watching the news," he said, before walking across the street to tour a neighborhood convenience store.
Confirming reports, Labonte filmed images of store shelves stripped bare of food and water, with row upon row of essentials snatched up by worried citizens. "As you can see, a lot of food is not here," he said. "You imagine all these shelves would be full in one of the most modern cities in the world. ... Most of the water's been picked away clean ... and it happened pretty fast too."
While awaiting their flight to San Francisco at the Narita International Airport on Saturday morning, Labonte said things were initially calm. With the exception of a few bedrolls laid out on the floor by people who seemed stuck at the airport, he said things looked pretty business-as-usual despite the emerging picture of the massive damage done to northern cities such as Sendai and the then-burgeoning threat posed by failing nuclear-reactor cooling systems.
"There's some places where it looks like people have been camping out, trying to get out. I guess there's been a lot of delayed flights," he said. With nearly eight hours to go before their flight left, Labonte checked back in a short time later to report a strong aftershock, which he said caused the large floor-to-ceiling windows in the departure terminal to flex in and out. "It's still a pretty active situation. It's changing pretty much by the minute," he said.
Finally, the band made it onto the flight, and Labonte reported that the band and crew were all OK. "I should take a second to send our deepest sympathy to all the people that have had loved ones lost. ... It's really awful and we're very fortunate to not only have gotten out of Japan with no injuries and survived with not a scratch on anyone, but to be able to actually document this."
A number of artists, from Katy Perry and Lady Gaga to the Jonas Brothers, Blink-182's Mark Hoppus and Diddy have urged fans to donate to the Red Cross and offered their condolences to the victims of the natural disaster.

Mojo Fury announce debut album release date and tour with And So I Watch You From Afar

Mojo Fury will be releasing their debut album 'Visiting Hours of a Travelling Circus' through Graphite Records on Monday 9th May.

Mojo Fury are just what you want from a modern rock band - riffs galore, vocal hooks to the brim, great songwriting, and a rhythm section that motors it down all the right paths - their feet dipped in the alternative side of "popular" rock music currently being rattled across by the likes of Pulled Apart By Horses and Future of the Left. Increasingly, however, it is becoming apparent that they have a much more mature side to them; live shows are at once a ferocious weilding of their sonic arsenal and a breakdown towards psyched-out dizziness, both rich in composition and compelling in execution.

Having already received support from Artrocker (February 2011's 'Single of the Month'), Rock Sound (January 2011's 'Ones to Watch' Feature) and NME (No. 5 in the 'Top Ten Tracks of the Week' on NME.com in February 2011) to name but a few of their fans, the rest of the UK and beyond are picking up on Northern Ireland's finest. Radio play from Radio 1, Kerrang, and XFM, playlisting on Total Rock and TV playlisting on NME, Kerrang, Scuzz, Lava and Sub is getting Mojo Fury to an ever-widening audience.

The band will hit Northern and Southern Ireland for a handful of shows around their Belfast album launch in April, and will return to England, Scotland and Wales for a full tour throughout May supporting And So I Watch You From Afar. By that time the album will have been released, and Mike Mormecha's lyrics, which are at times both bewitching and bemusing, will be getting sung straight back at Mojo Fury in full voice.

Bowling For Soup wake up shuttle astronauts

Astronauts on board the U.S. Space Shuttle Discovery were awoken at 3:24 a.m. on Saturday March 5th by a recording of Bowling for Soup's "Ohio (Come Back to Texas)". The track was radioed up from mission control and was a request from the crew's families back home on planet Earth.

"Good morning, Discovery," called astronaut Michael Massimino in Houston. "That song comes to you from your families, it's for the whole crew. They do want you back here in Texas, we're looking forward to seeing you back on planet Earth when your mission is complete. Good morning."

"Good morning, Mike, and thanks to our families, who have really, really supported us from the beginning all the way through this mission," replied shuttle commander Steven Lindsey. "We really appreciate them and really look forward to seeing them again."

The request to play the track followed the news that Discovery's mission was extended two days to give the combined crews more time to unload the Permanent Multipurpose Module that was attached to the station Tuesday. If all goes well, the transfer work will be completed Sunday, hatches will be closed Sunday afternoon and Discovery will undock Monday morning around 7 a.m, Landing back at the Kennedy Space Center just before midday this Wednesday.

Lady Gaga has raised $250,000 for earthquake victims with her wristband design

Lady Gaga has raised $250,000 for earthquake victims in Japan by designing a wristband.

The 'Born This Way' singer urged her twitter followers to buy the $5 red and white accessory - which reads "We pray for Japan" in both English and Japanese - before telling her fans, whom she refers to as her 'Monsters', that they have already accumulated the large sum.

She tweeted: "Monsters: in just 48 hrs you've raised a quarter of a million dollars for Japan Relief. It's important we help. X (sic)"

The Asian country has suffered widespread devastation to its north eastern island as a result of the 9.0 magnitude earthquake and after affects on Friday (11.03.11), and Gaga has been among many stars to come forward on the social networking website to help raise donations.

Singer Katy Perry tweeted: "Remember as you go about your day please #prayforjapan & if you are able, text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 to Japan's emergency relief. (sic)"

Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber also sent a message to fans, writing: "Japan is one of my favourite places on earth - it's an incredible culture with amazing people. My prayers go out to them. We all need to help."

People can donate to the relief fund via The Red Cross through a variety of methods including the charity's website, Facebook and iTunes.
